Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation

The Course:

A 4-Week Virtual Workshop to Cultivate Self-Awareness, Resilience, and Emotional Well-being


Embark on a 4-week virtual journey designed to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, calm, and confidence. This interactive experience blends live weekly group sessions with daily mindfulness and gratitude practices to support your emotional growth and well-being.


Whether you’re brand new to mindfulness and meditation or looking to deepen an existing practice, you’ll receive step-by-step guidance on the core principles of mindfulness, simple yet powerful meditation techniques, and practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with sustainable habits that foster inner peace, emotional balance, and a more grounded presence in your everyday life.

Workshop Schedule:

We’ll meet every Tuesday from 7:00–8:15 PM CST for 4 consecutive weeks. 


Each weekly session includes:


  • Guided mindfulness and meditation lessons  
  • Supportive group discussion and self-reflection 
  • Practical tools for building emotional regulation and focus


***  Some 4 week sessions will be virtual/online only, some 4 week sessions will be in person.  Please choose accordingly.

Daily Practice:

Between sessions, you’ll engage in daily gratitude and meditation using the MIEA companion app, helping reinforce your growth and develop healthy daily habits. 

Course Fees:

This program is offered at an accessible rate to ensure everyone can participate:

    Due to limited capacity and the highly interactive nature of the course, no refunds will be given for missed attendance. When you register, you are reserving a valuable seat that could have been used by someone else. Please ensure you can commit to attending all four sessions before signing up .

Course Facilitator

This course is led by Tanya Phillips, M.Ed., M.H.Sc., a certified Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults. Tanya brings a compassionate, real-world approach to teaching mindfulness, empowering participants to find peace and purpose during life’s most difficult times.
