Mindfulness Meditation Workshop: Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation

The Course:

Embark on a 4-week virtual mindfulness course designed to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being. This interactive journey helps you navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, calm, and confidence through live weekly group sessions and daily mindfulness and gratitude practices that support your emotional growth.


Whether you’re new to mindfulness and meditation or seeking to deepen your existing practice, you’ll receive step-by-step guidance on core principles of mindfulness, simple yet powerful meditation techniques, and practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. By the end of this course, you’ll walk away with sustainable habits that foster inner peace, emotional balance, and a more grounded presence in your everyday life.

Workshop Schedule:

We’ll meet every Tuesday from 7:00–8:15 PM CST for 4 consecutive weeks. Each weekly session includes guided mindfulness and meditation lessons focused on enhancing emotional well-being, supportive group discussions, and self-reflection. You'll also gain practical tools for building emotional regulation and focus through various meditation techniques. *** Some 4 week sessions will be virtual mindfulness courses only, while others will be in person. Please choose accordingly.

Daily Practice:

Between sessions, you'll engage in daily gratitude and meditation techniques using the MIEA companion app, which supports your emotional well-being and helps reinforce your growth while developing healthy daily habits in this virtual mindfulness course.

Course Fees:

This virtual mindfulness course is offered at an accessible rate of $50 total to ensure everyone can participate in enhancing their emotional well-being. Please be mindful when registering: Due to limited capacity and the highly interactive nature of the course, no refunds will be given for missed attendance. When you register, you are reserving a valuable seat that could have been used by someone else. Please ensure you can commit to attending all four sessions before signing up to fully benefit from the meditation techniques taught.

Course Facilitator

This virtual mindfulness course is led by Tanya Phillips, M.Ed., M.H.Sc., a certified Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults. Tanya brings a compassionate, real-world approach to teaching meditation techniques, empowering participants to enhance their emotional well-being and find peace and purpose during life’s most difficult times.
