Our "Butterfly Brushstrokes" Paint Parties provide a unique opportunity for creative expression, allowing you to unwind, create, and connect with others while supporting our free wellness programs for the community. At Reinventing Ourselves, our mission is to provide education and resources to enhance mental health and wellness in our community.
Why Art & Connection Are Good for You
Creating art, such as with Butterfly Brushstrokes, is therapeutic. When you paint, your mind shifts into a state of flow, reducing stress and quieting racing thoughts. It’s a form of mindfulness that encourages creative expression and sparks creativity. Social connection boosts mental health. Gathering with friends—or meeting new ones—while painting with a purpose and sharing laughter releases endorphins, reduces anxiety, and builds a sense of belonging. You don’t have to be an artist! Guided by an instructor, each step allows you to focus on the experience rather than perfection. By the end of the night, you’ll leave with not only a beautiful painting but also a refreshed and lighter heart.
